Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or special menu recommendations
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring timely service in a fine dining or nightclub setting
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse guests
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in busy settings while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing simple calculations
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; understanding of sanitation standards is essential
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial but not required; enthusiasm for food industry trends encouraged
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks involved in serving duties
