Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Assist with food preparation and kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Upsell menu items by highlighting specials, pairing suggestions, and premium options to maximize sales opportunities
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and adhering to sanitation standards in food handling and food safety practices

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing
  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings like nightclubs
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse guest needs professionally
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service
  • Ability to upsell effectively by understanding menu offerings and guest preferences
  • Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for supporting food prep and understanding food safety protocols
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and check splitting
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and proper food handling techniques
  • Prior host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
