Job Overview
We are a Thai food catering company seeking an enthusiastic and energetic server who can help pack, set up / pack up and serve customers for on-site pop-up catering. A typical pop-up is lunch at corporate offices, where we require staff to be able to move hotboxes and other equipment on-site, prepare serving tables for guests, keep the serving area clean and tidy, be able to describe the menu items, and serve customers with a smile. After the event, you will help tidy up, transport equipment back to the vehicle, and clear up at the kitchen. You may be required to drive yourself from the kitchen to the site and follow parking instructions. The ideal candidate is energetic, a quick learner, and able to handle a fast-paced environment to help set up and clear up on time. You must be a team player, able to spot and respond to problems, take initiative, but work well with the team. Some previous restaurant experience is helpful but not essential. Knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, Thai food is very helpful. You should be able to carry items such as hotboxes (around 30 lbs) or push a cart carrying equipment without difficulty.

Responsibilities

• Serve up, garnish, pack and label food items at the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of preparation
• Keep a checklist and ensure that all food and equipment required for the event is transported and set up correctly.
• Know the menu items and be able to correctly identify them to guests.
• Greet and interact with guests
• Serve guests neatly, quickly and with good portion control.
• Pack up and transport utensils and left over food back to the kitchen, wash up and store utensils and store items.

Experience

• Previous experience with on-site catering or hospitality is helpful.
• Food handlers certificate is essential.
• A good standard of English

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
