Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer relations skills, and experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fine dining or casual restaurant setting. Prior experience with POS system Toast is preferred. The position offers an opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while providing memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems with Toast
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as full service restaurants & upscale restaurants
- Familiarity with POS system Toast is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and sales performance
- Previous host or bussing experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is required
- Basic kitchen knowledge or culinary experience can be advantageous but not mandatory
