Server

Join our vibrant hospitality team as a host,Server, Food Runner, and Busser — We are an à la carte and all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and are passionate about delivering excellent guest service.

Responsibilities for serving

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
• Explain menu items, including AYCE (All-You-Can-Eat) dining procedures
• Serve sushi, drinks, and other menu items promptly while maintaining presentation standards
• Monitor guest needs and ensure satisfaction throughout service
• Upsell beverages, specials, and featured menu items
• Process payments accurately and handle cash transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations
• Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests
• Collaborate with food runners, bussers, and kitchen staff
• Complete side work and tasks assigned by management
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Address guest questions or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous serving experience preferred (sushi or Japanese restaurant experience a plus)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with POS systems (Kwick OpenTable is a plus)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Basic math skills for order accuracy and cash handling
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Team-oriented with a positive and energetic attitude
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay active during shifts
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability

Requirements

• Willingness to obtain a Food Handler Card and RBS Certification upon hire
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
