Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Provide detailed menu descriptions and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables promptly, resetting dining areas, and assisting with sanitation protocols in line with food safety standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues quickly
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously throughout their visit
• Assist with food preparation or basic kitchen tasks when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and versatility
• Uphold all food handling regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining or nightclub backgrounds
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and order management
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations swiftly
• Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest enjoyment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices
• Previous experience in serving roles including host/hostess duties or bussing is highly desirable
• Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus for supporting food prep when necessary
• Strong communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality and guest relations

Pay: $2.13 - $10.00 per hour
