Duties

• Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverages to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely entry and communication with kitchen staff
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and operate cashiering systems like OpenTable or other reservation platforms
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with sanitation regulations
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle challenging situations gracefully
• Culinary experience or background in food handling, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Familiarity with reservation platforms such as OpenTable and upselling techniques to boost sales
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus; basic math skills for cash handling are essential
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
