Overview
We are a Thai restaurant seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service in a fine dining environment. Your ability to manage time effectively, engage with customers, and demonstrate culinary knowledge will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation.
- Assist with hosting duties as needed, including managing reservations.
Experience
- Open to applicants over 21 years old (establishment serves alcohol).
- Responsible Beverage Service Training (State required certification).
- Food handler's card.
- Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of popular cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in fine dining establishments.
- Culinary experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to engage with guests about menu items.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions and cash management effectively.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards within the food industry.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Prior experience as a host or in guest services is beneficial but not required.
