Walkers’ Bar & Market is a new central Dallas neighborhood restaurant, sandwich shop, and market built around the personalities and values of its namesake, and experienced through Intentional Hospitality. The restaurant is upbeat, stylish, and sophisticated with elevated European-American cuisine, classic cocktails, and a dynamic wine program focused on classic regions and grape varieties. Adjacent to the restaurant is a bustling sandwich counter, chic wine shop, and quaint upscale market.

We are looking for servers who know how to host an awesome party! Every greet and guest interaction is met with enthusiasm and the desire to share your knowledge and expertise with our guests. The ideal candidate is approachable and friendly, while maintaining a level of professionalism that doesn’t break the bubble. The dining room is a dance floor, and the servers keep the energy alive. Servers are responsible for setting the pace for the night and driving the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Total oversight of the guest’s experience, from the first hello at the table to the last goodbye at the door
  • Coordination with all members of the Dining Room team and Kitchen team to execute their meal correctly and in a timely fashion
  • Awareness of each table to tailor service and their presence to the needs and desires of the guest
  • Take orders and alert the kitchen of any allergies, restrictions, or time constraints
  • Overall knowledge of the ingredients in each dish and of all beverages (beer, wines by the glass, wines by the bottle, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic menu)
  • Show leadership when running a station: be able to maintain order, ask for help, and direct and work with all team members
  • Constant communication with all members of the team
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • While we prefer 2+ years in fine dining, a good attitude and a strong work ethic are just as important
  • Friendly, reliable, driven by curiosity and their desire to create everlasting experiences for our guests
  • Understanding of basic food preparations and has the desire to learn more about various culinary techniques and food preparations
  • Understanding of classic cocktails and the ability to make recommendations when it comes to choice of spirit
  • Understanding of basic food and wine pairings and the willingness to learn more about various wine regions including, but not limited to, France, Italy, Spain, and California
  • Has a people-first mentality; understanding what it means to be part of a community, both within their team and their neighborhood
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for an extended period

Physical Demands:

  • Physical ability to lift heavy boxes up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Working Conditions:

  • The working environment includes exposure to noise, heat, temperature fluctuations, kitchen equipment, odors, and moisture. Additional hours may be required based on workload and staffing needs

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
