Server Administrator IT

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Server Administration – IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and securing enterprise server environments while ensuring high availability and performance of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1️ Server Installation & Configuration

• Install and configure Windows Server 2019 / Windows Server 2022
• Install and manage Linux servers (e.g., Red Hat / Ubuntu)
• Configure and manage server roles:
• Active Directory (AD)
• DNS
• DHCP
• File Server
• Apply initial server hardening and security configurations

2️ User & Access Management

• Manage Active Directory users and groups
• Perform password resets and access provisioning
• Implement and manage Group Policies
• Configure folder permissions and shared access
• Manage file server structures and access rights

3️ Virtualization & Backup Management

• Manage virtualization environments using VMware (VCP preferred) and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Configure and manage Hyper-V / VMware virtual machines
• Implement and monitor backup solutions (Veeam preferred)
• Ensure disaster recovery readiness

4️ Security & Maintenance

• Apply server security updates and patches
• Monitor system performance and uptime
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure
• Basic knowledge of NAS / SAN storage systems

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments
• Active Directory and Group Policy expertise
• Virtualization knowledge (VMware / Hyper-V)
• Backup and disaster recovery implementation
• Basic Linux administration knowledge
• Understanding of networking fundamentals

Preferred Certifications

• MCSA / Windows Server Certification
• CompTIA Linux+ Certification
• RHCSA or LPIC-1
• VMware VCP
• Veeam Backup Certification

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs75,000.00 per month
