Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Check in with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met, address any concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems; process payments and provide correct change
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently during busy hours
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment, supporting each other to deliver exceptional service throughout every shift

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
• Prior host/hostess or serving experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates

Pay: $3.70 - $4.00 per hour
