Server Assistant (Busser/Runner)

At GameChanger Brewhouse, our Server Assistants play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. They ensure smooth service flow, spotless tables, and a welcoming, energetic environment. Working side-by-side with servers and bartenders, Server Assistants help keep operations efficient and maintain the high standards that define our elevated sports bar concept.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, courteous support at all times.
• Maintain clean, reset, and properly stocked tables throughout service.
• Assist with water service, food running, and guest requests as directed.
• Keep all side stations stocked and organized for seamless operations.
• Support servers by marking tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring efficient turnover.
• Follow all sanitation and safety standards in accordance with health department and company policy.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and assist with setup, opening, and closing duties.
• Report any broken or damaged equipment immediately to management.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor.
• Respond to guest inquiries with warmth, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Adhere to all GameChanger Brewhouse Standard Operating Procedures and Sequence of Service Standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the shift.
• Dispose of trash and waste properly and promptly.
• Appear in full uniform, on time, and ready to contribute to a winning team.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Communicate any guest feedback, complaints, or incidents to management promptly.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of GameChanger Brewhouse in-venue Server Assistant training program.
• Ongoing coaching and performance check-ins as part of continuous improvement.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, or Food Runner in a high-volume restaurant or sports bar is highly desirable.

SKILLS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Must maintain high energy and focus in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a proactive approach to service.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering an elevated guest experience.
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Work may take place indoors or outdoors, with exposure to variable temperatures, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
• Must present a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during peak business periods.
• Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all team and guest interactions.
