Position Summary

As a Server or Bartender, you will be an ambassador of the Bistro Off Broad experience. You will combine exceptional service, food and beverage knowledge, and genuine hospitality to create unforgettable dining experiences. We are looking for team members who understand that great service is not just about taking orders—it's about anticipating needs, creating connections, and delivering moments of surprise and delight.

Whether you're recommending the perfect wine pairing, crafting a memorable cocktail, or recognizing a returning guest by name, you'll play a key role in shaping our culture of hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality
• Create memorable dining experiences through attentive and personalized service
• Learn guest preferences and anticipate needs whenever possible
• Take accurate food and beverage orders while providing thoughtful menu recommendations
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established standards
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and cocktails
• Guide guests through the menu and beverage program with confidence
• Operate Toast POS efficiently for order entry, payment processing, and cash handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, and bar areas
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Manage multiple tables or bar guests while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Upsell food and beverage offerings in a way that enhances the guest experience
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Fine dining, upscale casual, or hospitality-focused experience is highly desirable
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism
• Experience using Toast POS or similar systems preferred
• Knowledge of wine, cocktails, spirits, and beer is a strong plus
• Bartending experience or advanced bar knowledge is highly valued
• Understanding of food safety and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash transactions accurately
• Catering, banquet, or private event experience is a plus
