Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and dependable Server to join our family-run restaurant in Huntington Beach, CA. As a long-standing local favorite for over 26 years, we pride ourselves on providing great food and warm, attentive service in a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.

The ideal candidate is personable, energetic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities include taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized section, and ensuring every guest has a positive dining experience.

Previous serving experience is preferred but not required—we are happy to train the right person who is motivated, reliable, and a team player.

Compensation: $16.90 per hour + tips

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
• Recommend menu items and upsell specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements during busy hours
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes

Qualifications

• Proven restaurant experience with a strong background in food service and customer relations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Experience with fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
• Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and check splitting purposes
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
