Duties

• Greet guests warmly as a host or hostess, managing reservations and seating arrangements using systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Take and serve orders efficiently, upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist in food preparation and kitchen support, ensuring food safety standards and sanitation protocols are strictly followed
• Clear tables promptly, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold a welcoming atmosphere
• Support kitchen staff by washing dishes, cleaning utensils, and managing food handling tasks with attention to hygiene standards
• Manage cash handling accurately during cashiering duties, including processing payments and providing excellent guest relations
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation regulations and supporting overall restaurant operations during busy nights or events

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; experience with OpenTable or upselling techniques is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently during peak hours
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and basic math for cash handling and order accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, supporting team members across serving, hosting, kitchen assistance, and dishwashing tasks
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or special event nights as needed
