Overview
The Property, located in a beautiful rural Setting in Columbus, Indiana, is wanting you to join our dynamic team as a Server, Hostess, Busser, cashier and/or Food Runner,and bartender , where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with guests, support the culinary team, and ensure smooth restaurant operations. Whether you’re welcoming guests as a Hostess, delivering exceptional service as a Server, assisting with table clearing as a Busser, or swiftly delivering food as a Food Runner, your contribution will be vital to our vibrant restaurant environment. We are committed to paying all team members fairly and providing a positive, energetic workplace that celebrates teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems to ensure seamless seating arrangements
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system TOAST
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety protocols
  • Assist with bussing tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
  • Deliver food orders swiftly from kitchen to table, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Support the host/hostess by managing waitlists, seating guests promptly, and providing excellent guest relations throughout their visit

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or food runner is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems like Toast is highly sought after.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
