Server needed in Busy Diner

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Waitress or Waiter to join our bustling diner, where fast-paced service meets exceptional guest experiences. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, taking accurate orders, and ensuring each guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps our diners coming back for more. The tips are very good and we will work with you on the schedule. Prefer someone who can work early mornings, evenings and at least one shift per weekend. MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE!! WE SERVE BEER.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• May need to wash dishes, help with salad bar etc- and there is always side work and cleaning that is part of the job.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements

Absolutely must be very dependable and a team player!

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with SIT DOWN RESTAURANTS.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems , and cashiering procedures - can accurately count change back!
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
• Can be very professional in appearance and behavior with customers at all times.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales upselling
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial .
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively environment
• Working Weekends and evenings is a MUST! This is our busiest time - and when you will make the most money as well.
