Job Overview

Tina in the Gables is looking for a friendly, dependable, and hard-working Server to join our team.

We are a busy neighborhood café, Latin diner, and all-day brunch spot in Coral Gables. We’re looking for someone who enjoys hospitality, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can handle busy brunch and lunch service with urgency and attention to detail.

This is a high-volume restaurant, especially on weekends. The right person is organized, moves fast, stays positive under pressure, and genuinely enjoys taking care of guests.

Experience with Toast POS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Learn the menu and confidently answer questions, explain dishes, and make recommendations
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring modifications and guest requests are entered correctly
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high service standards
• Help maintain smooth table flow and quick turns during busy brunch and lunch periods
• Upsell menu items, beverages, and specials when appropriate
• Process payments accurately and handle cash/card transactions through Toast POS
• Assist with keeping dining areas clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
• Work closely with the kitchen and team members to ensure smooth service

Requirements

• Previous serving experience preferred (brunch, café, casual dining, or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus)
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong guest service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high guest volume
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Experience with Toast POS preferred, but willing to train the right person
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Somos un café de vecindario, diner latino y restaurante de brunch todo el día en Coral Gables. Buscamos a alguien que disfrute la hospitalidad, trabaje bien en un ambiente dinámico y pueda manejar un servicio ocupado de brunch y almuerzo con rapidez, organización y buena actitud.

Este es un restaurante de alto volumen, especialmente los fines de semana. La persona indicada debe ser organizada, rápida, mantener una actitud positiva bajo presión y disfrutar de atender a los clientes.

Experiencia con Toast POS es un plus.

Responsabilidades

• Recibir a los clientes de manera amable y brindar un servicio atento durante toda su visita
• Aprender el menú y responder preguntas, explicar platos y hacer recomendaciones
• Tomar órdenes de comida y bebidas correctamente utilizando Toast POS, asegurándose de ingresar modificaciones o solicitudes especiales
• Servir alimentos y bebidas de manera eficiente manteniendo altos estándares de servicio
• Ayudar a mantener un flujo rápido de mesas durante servicios ocupados de brunch y almuerzo
• Promover especiales, bebidas y otros productos cuando sea apropiado
• Procesar pagos correctamente y manejar transacciones en Toast POS
• Ayudar a mantener el salón limpio, organizado y listo para recibir clientes
• Trabajar en equipo con cocina y compañeros para mantener un servicio fluido

Requisitos

• Se prefiere experiencia previa como mesero/a (experiencia en brunch, cafés, restaurantes casuales o de alto volumen es un plus)
• Personalidad amigable y excelente actitud de servicio al cliente
• Capacidad para hacer varias tareas a la vez y mantenerse organizado/a durante turnos ocupados
• Cómodo(a) trabajando en un ambiente rápido y con mucho volumen de clientes
• Buena comunicación y trabajo en equipo
• Puntualidad y asistencia confiable
• Disponibilidad para trabajar mañanas, fines de semana y días festivos
• Experiencia con Toast POS es preferida, pero estamos dispuestos a entrenar a la persona correcta
• Bilingüe (inglés/español) es un plus
