Server/Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every customer receives an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items while maintaining a clean and inviting café environment.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring smooth operations during peak hours.
• Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Experience

• Previous barista experience is preferred but not mandatory; however, a strong interest in coffee culture is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
• Experience in the food industry or retail environment is beneficial, particularly in roles involving food preparation or customer service.
• Basic math skills are required for cash handling and retail math tasks.
