server/bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and a strong background in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred, along with a solid understanding of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service. The position offers opportunities to work in various settings including fine dining, nightclubs, banquets, and catering events.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
  • Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service and enhance their experience
  • Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and billing using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
  • Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service
  • Restock bar supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators for banquet or catering services
  • Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
  • Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling, beverage service, and alcohol licensing

Experience

  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality roles, especially within bars, nightclubs, or fine dining establishments
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability in serving alcohol responsibly and adhering to food safety standards
  • Strong skills in time management, sales, cash handling, and basic math including retail math
  • Experience with catering, banquet service, or large events is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Background in brewing or the food industry is advantageous but not required
  • Previous roles involving food safety protocols, food handling, or restaurant experience will be considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $2.13 - $4.50 per hour
