Server/Bartender

Stardust in downtown Boise is a fine dining restaurant and craft cocktail lounge. Stardust is a showcase of exceptional cuisine, elegant surroundings, and knowledgeable, diverse staff.

We are looking for an experienced front of house professional with a good knowledge base of fine dining etiquette, wine service, and high end spirits. Bartending experience is a plus.

The candidate that we are looking for is a mature, team player with flexible availability.

Full and Part-Time Scheduling Available.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as needed to prevent overconsumption or disturbances
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role
- Knowledge of restaurant and bar operations
- Strong sales skills to upsell and promote drink specials
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Proficient in bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring drinks, and garnishing beverages
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
