Server/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and supporting food preparation and sanitation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Previous experience in quick service, restaurant, or retail environments is preferred but not required. Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Process payments efficiently through cash handling and credit card transactions
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
• Assist with food preparation and serving, including bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
• Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed
• Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout shifts
• Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly and efficiently

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
• Experience with upselling menu items to enhance sales performance
• Ability to work efficiently in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting
• Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is beneficial but not required
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bussing tables or stocking supplies
