Server/Prep Cook

Summary

The Server/Prep Cook supports the Chef Manager in the daily operation of the onsite restaurant/café. This role involves food preparation, upholding high standards of service and food safety, and assisting with general café cleaning and inventory tasks. The pay range for this position is $18-$22 and includes benefits such as PTO, 401K and contribution towards medical reimbursement.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Prior culinary/restaurant experience required. Recent graduates of culinary programs will be considered.

Skills:

• Ability to handle many tasks at once with a sense of urgency
• Excellent customer service skills with the desire and ability to make them feel welcome
• Effective communication skills with management, vendors and customers.

Preferred:

• Servsafe certified preferred or the ability to obtain certification with 90 days of hire.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Food Preparation & Service:

• Perform daily food prep for various menu items as directed by the Chef Manager
• Serve guests, ensuring excellent service and product quality in a clean and inviting cafe environment.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to ring out guests.
• Maintain a fully stocked and clean coffee station during all hours of operation.

Operations & Safety:

• Uphold all food safety standards and regulations.
• Shared responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of all equipment, stock areas, sales areas, and surrounding cafeteria space.
• Ensure all coolers and displays are clean and fully stocked.
• Assist the Chef Manager with inventory management functions, including organization of product storage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
