Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive host/hostess services to ensure a smooth seating process
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication of guest preferences
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Upsell menu items by highlighting specials and recommended dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering duties while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support overall restaurant operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts in fast-paced settings
• Basic math skills for order entry, cash handling, and billing accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong communication skills combined with a friendly demeanor that promotes guest satisfaction
