Server/Waiter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team at El Globo Mexican Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering high-quality service and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests promptly, providing them with menus with a positive attitude.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through cash registers and maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards by following proper food handling practices at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while addressing any guest concerns or special requests promptly.
• Uphold the standards of hospitality by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak Spanish.
• Previous experience as a Server in a casual dining restaurant is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
