Job Summary

The Service Assistant supports the Service Department with different clerical and administrative task and assignments.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Service Director, Service Manager, and Warranty Manager.
  • Assist with the Service loaner administration process.
  • Assist with verifying and processing invoices using Reynolds system.
  • Assist with filling invoices.
  • Performs PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspections).
  • Processes internal repair orders for Used Cars, PDI, and Accessories.
  • Works closely as a team member with the Parts and Service staff on special projects or assignments.
  • Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by management.
  • Maintains the process for scanning and organization of service files.
  • May schedule and/or assign service appointments.
  • May perform other duties as requested.
  • May assist cashiers when needed.

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Basic knowledge of internet software and order processing system.
  • Knowledge of use of fax, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous expertise in Microsoft Excel preferred.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, walk, sit, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and sit, and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Other:

· Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

· Due to the critical nature of the automotive industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the dealership. In addition, attendance at all schedule training sessions and meetings is required.

· Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facility.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
