Sterling Hyundai Genesis of Lafayette, LA is seeking a Service Department Cashier to join our team!
As a Service Department Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for customers during their service experience. You’ll process payments, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain a professional and welcoming environment. This is a versatile position that is cross trained to assist the Service Department with the completion of various daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner

Process payments accurately, including cash, credit card, and check transactions

Provide clear explanations of invoices and services performed

Answer customer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department

Maintain and balance cash drawer and receipts

Answer and direct calls appropriately using a multi-line phone system

Serve as a backup for our main receptionist as needed

Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and appointment scheduling

Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth operations

Uphold dealership standards for customer service and professionalism
Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred, ideally in an automotive or retail environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency in basic math and handling monetary transactions

Familiarity with dealership management systems (preferred but not required; training provided).

Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen

Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 18 years of age
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM, some Saturdays from 8:00AM-12:00PM
