Service Cashier

Gary Smith Honda in sunny Fort Walton Beach, FL is a family-owned and operated car dealership seeking a reliable, full-time Service Cashier.

Service Cashier Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Balance cash drawer
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and direct customers to the proper department
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Back-up receptionist desk as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Service Cashier Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task and work quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to read, write, add, subtract, divide, and comprehend written instructions and information
• Excellent attendance and being on time for your shift is required
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of cashier experience preferred

Schedule Requirements:

Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm plus occasional overtime.

Service Cashier Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, type, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 lbs (mail, packages). The employee must be able to see color and at close and far distances.
