Service Center Manager (Forklift Attachment & Parts Warehouse)

This position requires to be fully on-site, Monday through Friday.

The salary range listed in the job posting reflects base compensation only. A target discretionary bonus of 20%, paid monthly and based on company performance, is available in addition to base salary.

JOB SUMMARY

The Service Center Manager is responsible for leading and developing operations at a newly acquired warehouse facility, overseeing service, repair, warehouse, and logistics activities for forklift attachments and parts. This role ensures that all operational functions run efficiently, safely, and with a strong customer focus. The Manager is accountable for delivering high‑quality products and services that consistently meet customer expectations as well as internal standards for quality, performance, and on‑time delivery.

The position is highly focused on supporting Sales and enhancing the customer experience by managing daily warehouse operations, inventory control, end-to-end logistics (receiving, storage, picking, and shipping), and service activities.

In addition to operational excellence, the Service Center Manager is accountable for building and leading a high-performing team, establishing effective processes, and driving operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and security standards.

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations, North America, with a strong dotted-line partnership to the Director of Sales. The position plays a vital leadership role, and is responsible for balancing strategic priorities with hands-on team leadership, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business outcomes.

This role partners closely with Sales to align operational priorities, including workflow planning, job prioritization, and responsiveness to customer needs. The position applies lean principles and structured problem-solving approaches to drive continuous improvement and support production and service teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Operations Management: Lead and oversee all daily operations, including service, inspection, modification, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Establish and manage workflows to maximize efficiency, ensure the highest quality standards, and minimize turnaround times.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop a high-performing team. Set clear expectations and drive accountability, ensuring employees understand how their roles impact customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory control through effective processes, cycle counts, and organization to maintain optimal stock levels and product availability.
  • Service, Repair & Quality Oversight: Oversee service, repair, and inspection/quality assurance activities to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with customer requirements and company standards.
  • Logistics Coordination: Partner with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers to ensure timely and efficient movement of materials and finished goods, minimizing delays and transportation costs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and security protocols to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. Promote a strong safety culture across the operation.
  • Process/Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improving productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Lead initiatives to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Equipment & Facility Management: Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of equipment and facility to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Reporting & Performance Management: Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse activities, operational performance, and financial metrics to senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in a high-volume warehouse, distribution, or a related industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a hands-on, operational setting, including hiring, development, and performance management
  • Experience working in a customer-facing or sales-support environment, with a strong understanding of service levels and responsiveness
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or industrial setting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, develop reports, and drive data-informed decision-making
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to build, motivate, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment
  • Certifications such as forklift operation, APICS (e.g., CSCP), or Lean/Six Sigma are a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
