Service Engineer

Position: Service Engineer – Fire Fighting Systems

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Service Engineer to handle installation support, servicing, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire fighting and fire alarm systems at client sites. The candidate will ensure system reliability, compliance with safety standards, and timely resolution of service issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of fire fighting systems such as hydrant, sprinkler, hose reel, foam, and clean agent systems.
• Service and troubleshoot fire alarm systems (addressable & conventional).
• Perform testing, commissioning, and inspections at project and AMC sites.
• Attend customer complaints and resolve issues within defined TAT.
• Coordinate with project, sales, and procurement teams for spares and technical support.
• Prepare service reports, checklists, and site documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, and local fire safety norms.
• Guide technicians/helpers at site and ensure safe work practices.
• Support audits and fire authority inspections when required.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of fire fighting & fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of pumps, panels, valves, detectors, and suppression systems.
• Customer handling and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / BE/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Fire & Safety.
• Relevant certification in fire safety systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in servicing and maintenance of fire protection systems in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Other Requirements

• Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler license preferred.
• Ready for emergency/breakdown calls when required.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
