Service Engineer- LV Switchgears

Execute on-site service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality completion of work while maintaining excellent client communication.

• Execute site work: installation, commissioning, inspection, testing, servicing, and repairs for LV switchgear, LV panels, ACBs, and VFDs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults independently on first visit where possible; escalate complex issues with clear diagnostics and parts lists.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM standards, capturing readings, photos, and recommendations.
• Configure, parameterize, and test VFDs; verify protection settings and perform operational checks on ACBs; conduct IR/PI and functional tests on LV panels.
• Complete documentation: job cards, checklists, test reports, time sheets, and site photos within 24 hours of job completion.
• Communicate professionally with clients for arrival notices, work progress, findings, and closure reports including corrective/preventive recommendations.
• Adhere to HSE requirements: JSA/Toolbox Talk, PPE compliance, lockout/tagout, and client PTW procedures.
• Maintain tools and test instruments (including calibration status) and ensure parts readiness before site visits.
• Coordinate with the service coordinator for scheduling, parts procurement, and report submissions.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement of checklists, SOPs, and spares kits.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid UAE light vehicle driving license (mandatory) and ability to travel across Emirates.
• 3+ years field experience in LV systems service: VFDs, ACBs, LV panels, and LV switchgear.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with electrical diagrams, fault codes, and test instruments (multimeter, insulation tester, clamp meter, IR/PI).
• Solid knowledge of electrical safety practices, PTW systems, and site HSE protocols.
• Effective spoken and written communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently on client sites and handle after-hours or emergency calls when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with major VFD brands (e.g., ABB/Siemens/Schneider/Danfoss) and ACB testing/secondary injection basics.
• Familiarity with protection settings, coordination basics, and power quality issues.
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; relevant OEM trainings/certifications.
• Basic IT proficiency for digital forms, mobile apps, and report generation (e.g., Google Workspace/MS Office).
