Role
To assist in installing, commissioning, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting GroundProbe radar systems at mining and civil sites, ensuring high availability, accuracy, safety, and performance of the radar systems for real-time monitoring and early warning of slope movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission radar systems including mechanical setup, alignment, power supply, communications, and physical site safety.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, inspections, and performance verification of radar hardware and software.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair radar system faults (electronic, mechanical, firmware/software, power systems, communications links).
- Work with GroundProbe’s software tools to verify proper data acquisition, processing, alarm thresholds, and reporting.
- Assist with configuring radar scan parameters, performing calibration of antenna alignment, tilt, range settings, error corrections due to environmental factors like atmospheric effects, etc.
- Ensure systems are operating under required environmental tolerances (temperature, humidity, dust, wind etc.).
- Maintain spare parts inventory, order new parts, liaise with vendors/manufacturers for specialised components or repair support not feasible on-site.
- Provide technical support to customers on-site: training of local staff in operation, maintenance, safety, interpreting radar outputs / alarms.
- Monitor system performance remotely (if applicable), provide regular reports on system health, uptime, deviations, observed anomalies, corrective actions.
- Participate in field activities, site safety procedures, ensure compliance with health & safety, regulatory and quality standards.
- Travel to customer or mining sites as needed, sometimes on short notice, for critical service, calibration or emergency response.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2-4 years experience.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail. Ability to isolate faults, perform root cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills: can explain technical issues to non-technical users, training abilities.
- Ability to work independently in remote or field-site conditions, safety conscious.
- Familiarity with site safety standards and risk management.

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
