Plains is seeking dependable, motivated plumbers and apprentices who take pride in doing quality work and representing the trade professionally.
We perform residential, commercial, and mechanical plumbing work throughout the Texas Panhandle. Our work ranges from standard service and repair to complex troubleshooting, piping systems, boilers, mechanical equipment, and commercial projects.
This position is for individuals who:

We are not looking for people who need constant supervision, cut corners, or are satisfied doing the bare minimum.
Licensed plumbers are strongly preferred, but motivated apprentices willing to learn the trade the right way are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair plumbing systems and fixtures
- Install water, drain, gas, and vent piping systems
- Perform service work in residential and commercial environments
- Troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical system issues
- Maintain accurate work orders, notes, and communication
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized
- Follow company safety standards and job procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and office staff
- Participate in after-hours or emergency call rotation as required
- Arrive prepared and ready to work each day
For licensed plumbers:
- Independently manage service calls and projects
- Train and guide apprentices when needed
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism
For apprentices:
- Assist licensed plumbers with installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and material handling
- Learn proper plumbing practices, tools, safety, and customer interaction
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to improve daily
Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Texas Journeyman, Tradesman, or Master Plumbing License preferred
- Plumbing apprenticeship experience welcomed
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to work overtime or after-hours when required

Additional Requirements & Expectations
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- Pre-employment drug screening required
- Must be able to pass criminal background review requirements associated with Texas plumbing licensing and registration laws
- After-hours, overtime, and emergency service work are required when business needs demand it
- Dependability, professionalism, honesty, and accountability are mandatory

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
