Service Plumber- Commercial and Residential

HIRING- Plumbing Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components in residential and commercial buildings.

· Review blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.

· Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks

· Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation

· Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures

· Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met

· Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded

· Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements

· Perform other related duties as required

Experience

• 4+ years’ commercial and residential plumbing experience
• Backflow and OSHA certifications are a plus

Knowledge

• Thorough knowledge of water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
• Current knowledge of building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for installation and maintenance

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
• Standing, kneeling, reaching or stooping for long periods of time.
• Flexibility to move in and out of awkward positions such as under sinks, behind cabinets, inside crawlspaces, etc.
• Climb ladders and stairs.
• Repetitive movement.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme cold or heat, depending on the time of year.
• Work in low-light conditions.
• Exposure to smells associated with waste, sewer and water systems.
