Service Specialist

Summary: Full-Time Monday-Friday, available some Saturdays


Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrate Legacy Bank and Trust corporate values in every situation and interaction.
  • Possess knowledge of all banking products, including other lines of business within the bank. Stay current on new products, pricing, and cross-sell opportunities within retail and other departments of the bank.
  • Open/close depository accounts and facilitate maintenance on existing accounts. Review for accuracy and compliance.
  • Uncover needs and deepen customer relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate bank products.
  • Assist with internet banking and debit card requests.
  • Perform basic and complex daily teller functions (cash handling, balancing of drawers, vaults, coin machine, etc.)
  • Consistently provide exceptional customer service and appropriately manage customer complaints.
  • Comply with bank policy, laws, and regulations.
  • Complete all required training as well as ABA assigned courses.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of customer service experience

Physical Requirements

Onsite Position

  • Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to see computer screen and read documents (75-100% of work time spent on activity).
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors, and employees (75-100% of work time spent on activity).
  • Sitting: Must be able to sit for long periods of time (50-74% of work time spent on activity).
  • Standing/Walking: Must be able to move about office (75-100% of work time spent on activity).
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up paper products or materials (25-49% of work time spent on activity).
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds (0-24% of work time spent on activity).
  • Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use technical equipment (75-100% of work time spent on activity).
