The Pool Bar & Restaurant is accessible to both day pass holders and overnight guests, featuring our take on locally sourced poolside classics. Guests staying overnight will have coffee and continental breakfast available each morning and snacks and bar service in the evening.

Job description:

River Electric is looking for skilled and passionate Service Staff to join our Front of House team. As a Service Staff Member, you will be responsible for all areas of service within the pool & restaurant area of The River Electric. This role will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency and excellence in every item that comes out of the bar & kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Bar Lead, Service Staff Lead, and Food & Beverage Director to maintain the aesthetic appearance of the pool area, ensuring the deck is cleaned, organized, and up to the aesthetic standards of The River Electric. You will ensure customer requests are handled promptly, efficiently, and with a focus on positive experience and hospitality. The River Electric Service Staff are the frontlines of guest experience - delivering all counter-service and QR code food and beverage orders and acting as an ambassador for The River Electric and Guerneville, giving guests recommendations for extra-curricular activities in town, restaurant recommendations, etc.

Experience/Skills

  • Knowledge of food and beverage quality, nutrition, and sustainable practice
  • Punctual, organized, and trustworthy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
  • Ability to maintain high levels of aesthetic quality and consistency

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs, crates of supplies).
  • Certification in food handling (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handlers)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests at The River Electric, acting as a liaison, with the support of the Bar Lead, Service Staff Lead, and Food & Beverage Director for all guests' needs
  • Assist in setting aesthetic and quality assurance standards for the pool enclosure area. Setting up and breaking down cabanas, towel stations, and ensuring pool area is properly bussed and re-set as needed.
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of pool area on a daily basis
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests' tables quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure the correct order is delivered to the right guest by checking food and drink items before serving.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area by clearing dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware.
  • Contribute to End-of-shift notes & closing procedures
  • Assist with event set-up, service, and breakdown as needed
  • Communicate food inventory changes (86’ed items) and wait times accurately and promptly to guests. Assist with customer order changes with the support of the Service Staff Lead & Bar Lead, with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Have a full understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, along with a comprehensive understanding of the River Electric menu, offerings, and dietary modifications

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel/ Restaurant.
