Job Summary:
A Two-Wheeler Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing motorcycles and scooters. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, timely service delivery, and customer satisfaction by maintaining two-wheelers in optimal running condition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Service & Maintenance
- Perform routine services such as oil changes, filter cleaning/replacement, brake adjustments, chain tightening, wheel alignment, and general check-up.
- Carry out periodic maintenance services (PMS) as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct test rides to identify service requirements.
2. Diagnostic & Repair Work
- Diagnose engine, electrical, and mechanical issues using tools and technical knowledge.
- Repair or replace faulty components like clutch, brake system, suspension, carburetor/fuel-injection, electrical wiring, etc.
- Handle breakdown repairs and advanced troubleshooting.
3. Quality Checks
- Perform pre-delivery inspections after service/repair.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and workshop standards.
- Confirm safety and performance before handing over the vehicle.
4. Customer Interaction
- Explain repair work and service findings to Service Advisor/Customer.
- Provide basic maintenance tips to customers when required.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain job cards with accurate service details.
- Update spare parts usewd and work completed.
- Report major issues to the Service Advisor or Workshop Manager.
6. Workshop Maintenance
- Keep tools and equipment clean and in working condition.
- Maintain personal safety and follow workshop safety guidelines.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the service
