Service Technician

Tidewater Equipment Company is looking for a Service Technician at our Hazlehurst, GA branch.

Responsibilities:

Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and construction equipment products through established processes and procedures
Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership
Prepares equipment for delivery to the customer or for demonstration purposes as required
Participates in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
Maintains current knowledge of Tigercat competitive products, and other allied products
Maintains condition of tools and equipment
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Assist in the training of technician students and apprentices as required
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Understands and ensures adherence to corporate and customer data profiles
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Performs other duties as assigned
1+ years of experience performing service repairs preferred
Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and construction equipment
Ability to understand and use basic computer functions
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes Proficient oral and written communication skills
Willingness to learn and work hard
Ability to work extended hours and weekends, as needed
Willingness to work overtime, as needed
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Valid driver’s license preferred
Fork lift certification preferred
