<Duties>
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other critical machinery to prevent downtime.
- Install new HVAC/R equipment following detailed HVAC design plans and schematics.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues on-site, ensuring quick resolution of appliance repairs and property maintenance needs.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to test electrical circuits and perform repairs with precision.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, repairs performed, and parts used for each job.
- Operate vehicle safely while transporting tools or equipment to various job sites.
<Skills>
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or property maintenance.
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, or appliance repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans effectively.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters; familiar with welding techniques for equipment repair.
- Knowledge of field service procedures for HVAC/R systems; comfortable working independently in diverse environments.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to ammonia refrigeration, boiler operation, and general mechanical work.
