We are a growing automotive shop equipment company specializing in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of automotive service equipment. Our customers include automotive dealerships, independent repair facilities, fleet maintenance shops, and commercial service centers. We are seeking a motivated Service Technician to join our team and provide exceptional field service support.
Job Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing automotive shop equipment, including vehicle lifts, air compressors, tire changers, wheel balancers, alignment systems, lubrication equipment, and related shop machinery. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in customer facilities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive shop equipment at customer locations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Install and commission new shop equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Complete service reports and document repairs accurately.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Participate in on-call service rotation as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in industrial environments.
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
Preferred:
- Experience with automotive shop equipment repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Industrial maintenance or field service experience.
- ASE, OSHA, ALI, or other related certifications.
