The Field Service Technician will perform repair work and maintenance for lift trucks and other equipment. This position reports to the Field Service Manager or Service Manager.

Daily travel to customer location(s)

Identifies/troubleshoot mechanical problems with lift trucks or other equipment.

Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.

Performs repairs, replacements, or preventative maintenance.

Performs further tests that may include test driving the vehicle to ensure repairs are completed correctly.

Estimate or quote repair costs.

Maintain personal service van and inventory as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must be willing to submit and pass an annual MVR check.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Must be able to work safely in areas with potential exposure to cold/hot temperatures, noise pollution, dust, solvents, fuels, and battery acid.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.

Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.

Must be able to stand for 6+ hours daily.

Must have good dexterity and grip strength; repetitive hand and wrist motions required.

Good binocular vision to inspect repair work.
-
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
