POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Service Technician is responsible for assisting in the performance of routine client maintenance and repairs on customer premises as described per jobs requested by the customer. They will assist in building maintenance and repairs in one or more fields (Ex. Carpentry, flooring repairs or replacement, ceiling repairs or replacement, demolition, concrete repairs or replacement, framing, drywall repairs or replacement, roof repairs). Repairs include but are not limited to, doors, door closers, specialty items such as check-stands, bumpers, corner guards, box rails, retail store and/or restaurant appliances and furniture. Breaking down or building of pallet racks as requested by the customer. Perform other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Senior Technicians with various tasks to include demolition, prep., and cleaning of jobs and job sites.
  • Assist with wall repairs to include metal and wood framing, patching or replacement of wall with drywall, paint, FRP, marlite, ceramic/porcelain tile, and other types of materials use for wall repairs.
  • Assist with floor repairs using concrete, adhesive, epoxy material, ceramic/porcelain tile, vct tile, wood simulated vct plan, carpet tile, and other flooring type systems.
  • Assist with paint tasks to include interior, exterior, and specialty two-part epoxy paint as needed using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes.
  • Assist in the completion of various types of repairs to include hanging doors, installing door closers, locks, hinges, adjust door closers including doors to specialty case entries and/or coolers.
  • Must be able to follow directions from various supervisors and/or leads, as well as with the clients.
  • Must complete administrative tasks correctly and on time. This includes but is not limited to job required information for billing purposes, payroll and submittal of receipts for business related expenses.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours; available to work nights and weekends, and on-call.
  • Must be able to use and/or operate various construction hand and power tools/equipment, including but not limited to drills, various saws, jack hammers, grinders, sanders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, as well as other types of tools not listed, which may be needed to complete an assigned job or task.
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1+ year working experience in facility maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of general construction and carpentry.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Able to meet/exceed the Company attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
  • Properly use common tools.
  • Understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent bending/kneeling/lifting/climbing/reaching/laying/walking for extended periods; at job site and/or in vehicle for materials, as job requires.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and push/pull a minimum of 100 lbs.
  • Loading/Unloading materials from vehicles.
  • Ability to work in tight or confined spaces when required.
  • Ability to work in various environments including indoors, outdoors, and active construction; may be exposed to noise, dust chemicals, heat, cold and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Hearing and color vision for equipment use and safety compliance.
  • Ability to drive vehicles and travel to multiple job sites.

IT REQUIREMENTS:

  • General Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • SAGE: For Work Orders and Timekeeping.
  • ProCore: For Work Orders
  • Ability to use cellular phone/tablet/laptop for Work purposes including taking and uploading pictures, sending emails and reports, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
