The Service/ Warranty Technician is responsible for completing residential electrical work on homes before and after homeowners move in. Ensuring all electrical is properly functioning in the new home.

Ensuring timeliness of calls regarding homeowners’ schedule.

Able to troubleshoot and repair homeowners’ electrical issues.

Ensuring all homes we enter are left clean of all debris, material etc. from our warranty calls.

Ability to handle dissatisfied homeowners and deescalate situations regarding frustration of call etc.

Able to accurately complete “Hot Checks” prior to final inspection and homeowner closing.

Must have knowledge in energizing and deenergizing homes.

Confirming all equipment is properly installed and functional.

Able to troubleshoot any faulty equipment, circuit, and breakers.

Must communicate with the service manager and supervisor regarding any issues that arise during “Hot Checks”.

Ensure the home is left in “move in” condition.

Must be able to complete Punch List – A punch list is a quality checklist from the builder of the homeowner of any issues identified during the walk through.

Must be able to troubleshoot and read blueprints/ floor plans.

Must have National Electric Code (NEC) knowledge.

Must communicate with the manager regarding any issues that arise.

Electrical trade knowledge for all aspects of residential electrical.

Ability to read prints and scale to ensure placement of fixtures, receptacles, switches, etc.

Must have their own standard residential electrical tools.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Must have specialty tool use knowledge – i.e. Jack Hammer, Generator, Multimeter, Toner.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Must be able to read paperwork and fill out necessary information.

Previous experience in all phases of residential electrical.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Must have electrical safety knowledge. (Lock Out Tag Out)

Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.

Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.

Must be able to work in hot and confined spaces (attic work).
-
Must be able to use hand and power tools for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Must have clean driving record.
-
Must wear proper work shoes or boots while on the job site.
-
Must wear all PPE required while on the job site.
-
Must inspect all power tools daily or prior to use.

Must ask a manager for any PPE needed or in need of replacement (i.e. gloves, glasses, ear plugs)

This position requires work on a “Hot House”. Lock Out Tag Out procedures MUST be followed.
