Service Technician EPIC

Since 2010, Epic has been developing entertaining gambling games. We are a small, scrappy group that can move faster than larger companies. Our first licensed jurisdiction was Montana and the state's keno, slot, and poker multi-game market. Since then, EPIC has received GLI approval and launched products in Wisconsin, Nevada, California, and Arizona. Job Summary

The Service Technician will be primarily responsible for the assembly, configuration, and maintenance of gaming equipment. This role involves the detailed construction of gaming machines and cabinets, along with ensuring their optimal functionality. While occasional remote technical support may be required, the primary focus is on the physical building and preparation of machines. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.


Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble and construct new gaming machines and their associated cabinets according to specifications.
  • Install and configure hardware and software components within gaming machines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues on gaming equipment.
  • Organize and manage parts and equipment necessary for machine assembly.
  • Prepare completed machines for deployment and installation.
  • Provide occasional remote technical assistance via phone, as needed.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Assist in other responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • 2-year technical degree, certification, or successful apprenticeship related to electronics, computer repair, or related fields.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen prior to hire.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in multiple states.
  • Must be flexible to occasionally work on weekends or evenings
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and use a multimeter.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a willingness to learn and grow.

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Gaming industry experience

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job generally operates in a warehouse environment with direct traffic. This role routinely uses standard office equipment as well as gaming machines and other miscellaneous tools needed for the execution of the job. The noise level in the work environment is standard for a casino, with background noise from machines or other people in the surrounding area.


Physical Demands

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
