1. Job Purpose
To provide professional technical support in the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of commercial laundry equipment and steam systems supplied by Wotek. The Laundry Technician ensures reliable equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to service quality standards, contributing to the company’s reputation for excellence in after-sales service and long-term maintenance support.
2. Key Responsibilities
· Install and commission laundry machines, steam boilers, and related systems at customer sites.
· Ensure proper alignment, calibration, testing, and safety compliance during commissioning.
· Provide end-user training on operation and basic maintenance.
· Diagnose and repair breakdowns, malfunctions, and performance issues in laundry and boiler equipment.
· Conduct preventive maintenance as per AMC contracts and manufacturer guidelines.
· Maintain accurate service records and prepare detailed reports.
· Act as a technical contact for customers, ensuring timely response to service requests.
· Educate customers on equipment care and usage best practices to reduce downtime.
· Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior engineers or vendors.
· Follow safety procedures, industry standards, and company protocols during all service and installation activities.
· Ensure spare parts usage and inventory tracking as per company standards.
· Collaborate with project and service managers for planning and resource allocation.
· Support colleagues with technical expertise and mentor junior technicians when required.
· Provide feedback to managers for product improvements.
3. Skills & Competencies Required
· Strong understanding of commercial laundry equipment, electrical systems, steam boilers, and control systems.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams, manuals, and service documentation.
· Analytical approach to fault diagnosis and repair under time-sensitive conditions.
· Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance techniques.
· Good communication skills to explain technical issues in simple terms.
· Professional approach in handling customer complaints and queries.
· Ability to coordinate with service managers, project teams, and colleagues.
· Good documentation, reporting, and record-keeping abilities.
· Flexibility to travel and work at client sites.
· Commitment to safety and quality standards.
· Basic IT skills for reporting, ERP/service management tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
