Service Technician/Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Service Technician/Manager to lead our maintenance and repair operations across various property types. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of service, safety, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems, along with excellent field service experience. As a Service Technician/Manager, you will oversee daily maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and guide a team of technicians to deliver exceptional service. This position is vital in maintaining property value, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and supporting the seamless operation of building systems.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for HVAC systems.
• Diagnose system malfunctions using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on air conditioning units to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage field service operations including repair, equipment troubleshooting and general property maintenance tasks.
• Supervise and train technicians on proper repair procedures, safety protocols, and the use of tools like specialized diagnostic instruments.
• Review schematics and HVAC design plans to execute installations or upgrades efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to HVAC/R systems.
• Coordinate with property management teams to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to tenants or operations.
• Stay current on industry best practices for mechanical systems maintenance and incorporate new techniques or technologies as appropriate.
• Maintain price book updates as needed for Service Department

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in supervising or managing a team of technicians in a field service environment.
• Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with equipment repair including air conditioning units.
• Familiarity with property maintenance procedures across commercial or residential properties.
• Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) for field service travel between sites as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
