Salary Range: $23.00 To $30.00 Hourly

We are looking to add a Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to our Atlanta location!! Pay is commensurate with experience ($23 - 30 per hour). Join our incredible maintenance team and and work on some of the latest and most pristine equipment on the road!
The Service Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance of the fleet assigned to Atlantic location. Ensures company has the safest of coaches placed in service, and they are free of mechanical defects with all installed equipment in working order.

Duties:
  • Maintaining bus and coach fleets for Atlanta location.
  • Ensuring the company has the safest of coaches placed in service, and they are free of mechanical defects with all installed equipment in working order.
  • Conducting diagnostic, repair, and routine service of our fleet.
  • Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
  • Repairing and maintaining parts of an engine, such as fuel injection systems.
  • Repairing electrical systems.
  • Changing tires on buses and support vehicles.
  • Repairing gas/diesel engines and A.C. systems.
  • Will work evenings, weekends and on-call as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree or Technical College Certificates preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years experience working on fleet vehicles.

Recommended Skills:
  • Brake and AC Certifications preferred.
  • Fleet maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license and excellent driving record. Must have a "P" endorsement or have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of basic computer function capabilities.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a DOT physical and background check.
  • Able to work on-call, evenings and weekends when needed. Each week worked on-call can earn up to an additional $500 for that week.
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively under time and budgetary pressures.
  • Ability to utilize the time available to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Must be reliable, have good attendance and be punctual.
  • Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.

Wage Range: 23.00 - 30.00 per hour
