Job Description / Summary

We are seeking a strong ServiceNow Developer (5–8 years) to join our team under a Contract‑to‑Hire (C2H) engagement. In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and support ServiceNow modules and customizations. You will collaborate closely with process owners, architects, analysts, and other developers to deliver robust, scalable enterprise IT solutions. A core focus will be on CMDB and Linux environments to ensure reliable infrastructure and integration.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Collaborate with fellow ServiceNow stakeholders (admins, architects, business analysts, developers) to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Design, configure, and implement applications/modules in ServiceNow using JavaScript and platform capabilities
• Use Workflow Editor, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and other core ServiceNow components
• Develop and manage integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs (REST, SOAP), web services, etc.
• Support upgrade planning, regression testing, and implementation across development / test / production instances
• Architect, build, and enhance scoped applications for internal use
• Develop custom Service Portal pages, widgets, and UI components using Bootstrap, AngularJS (or similar frameworks)
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues, especially related to CMDB, data consistency, integration errors, etc.
• Extend ServiceNow schema (custom tables, fields) while maintaining data integrity and system performance
• Understand and work with ServiceNow licensing / entitlements and platform constraints
• Implement and maintain Automated Testing Framework in ServiceNow (e.g. tests, scripting)
• Liaise with both onshore and offshore ServiceNow teams—ensure alignment, code consistency, and cross-team integration
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements post-launch

Skills, Experience & CertificationsEssential / Mandatory

• 5 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development and administration
• Strong experience with CMDB, Discovery, and related configuration management functions
• Hands-on with Linux (administration, troubleshooting, scripts) in support of ServiceNow infrastructure
• Expertise in JavaScript (Glide APIs, script includes, client/server side)
• Experience in AngularJS (or similar UI frameworks) / Bootstrap for building / customizing user interfaces
• Proficiency with REST / SOAP / web services / XML / JSON / HTTP / AJAX etc.
• Experience developing in scoped applications and extending platform schema
• Familiarity with Workflow Editor, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and understanding of platform versioning
• Knowledge or experience in implementing Automated Testing Framework (ATF) in ServiceNow
• Good debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
• Strong communication, ability to work with diverse teams (onshore / offshore)
• Awareness / understanding of ServiceNow licensing, entitlements, and best practices

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
