Description:

We are seeking a talented and driven ServiceNow Developer with hands-on expertise in the DevOps Change Velocity module, particularly with experience integrating ServiceNow and GitLab.

The ideal candidate will design, configure, test and optimize workflows enabling automated change management and DevOps best practices across the enterprise. This role requires significant expertise in handling multiple complex work assignments, where innovation and originality are key. The ServiceNow Developer should have a strong background in DevOps and experience in the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and managing the ServiceNow DevOps module, ensuring seamless integration and automation across development and operational processes. Additionally, the ServiceNow Developer should have experience with the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).

Requirements:


  • Technical Development:
    • Design and implement robust solutions for the ServiceNow DevOps Change Velocity module, aligning with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
    • Develop and maintain seamless integrations between ServiceNow and GitLab, ensuring real-time visibility and automated workflows for code changes, CI/CD pipelines, and change approvals.
    • Configure and customize ServiceNow DevOps Change Velocity policies, triggers, and automation to streamline change management, reduce manual intervention, and enable continuous delivery.
    • Work closely with DevOps engineers, application teams, and ServiceNow administrators to gather requirements, resolve issues, and deliver high-value solutions.
    • Align application data to the CSDM and import data into the CMDB.
    • Develop technical documentation, integration guides, and user training materials to support adoption and knowledge transfer.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting:
    • Develop and execute test scripts to ensure the functionality and performance of ServiceNow applications.
    • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate solutions with end-users and gather feedback for improvements.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow and DevOps processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Collaborate with developers and automation engineers to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new functionalities.
    • Contribute to key deliverables and performance metrics, ensuring they are met efficiently and effectively.

    Qualifications:

  • Clearance:
    • US Secret Clearance
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its modules, including DevOps Change Velocity, ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and PPM
    • Experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on module configurations and integrations with other tools.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow development, particularly DevOps Change Velocity
    • Familiarity with Agile methodology
    • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
  • ServiceNow Certified IT Service Management Implementation Specialist
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)?
