Job Summary:
We are seeking a ServiceNow QA/Test Engineer to support quality assurance, testing, and validation activities for enterprise ServiceNow implementations supporting public sector and highly regulated environments. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test strategies, executing manual and automated testing, validating platform functionality, and ensuring ServiceNow solutions meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality ServiceNow releases and successful platform adoption.
Duties:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts supporting ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing solutions using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Perform manual functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, upgrade testing, and end-to-end validation activities.
- Validate ServiceNow platform enhancements across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, Service Catalog, and related modules.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while supporting root cause analysis activities.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to validate fixes and ensure solution quality.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation, test script development, stakeholder coordination, and validation efforts.
- Verify compliance with security, accessibility, privacy, and FedRAMP-related requirements.
- Monitor application performance, conduct performance testing activities, and validate system stability.
- Support Agile Scrum teams through sprint testing, release validation, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement activities.
- Create and maintain testing documentation, defect reports, test execution results, and quality metrics.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
- Minimum 2 years supporting ServiceNow testing initiatives.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, Agile Scrum, and quality assurance best practices.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow Test Management.
- Experience conducting regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in Columbus, Ohio.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting state, local, or federal government organizations.
- Experience supporting FedRAMP-authorized or highly regulated cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent testing certification.
